An international pharmaceutical company is looking for a Medical Advisor (Rheumatology area)

The Medical Advisor will provide scientific and medical support to external and internal customers in accordance with the company's policies, and local regulations. It will ensure peer-to-peer scientific exchange with different stakeholders that includes:

  • Providing medical (scientific, informational) support for the company's products, clinical studies, and projects in the area(s) of responsibility;

  • Providing medical and scientific training and support for the field force in respective TA;

  • External Expert Engagement;

  • Providing input into local studies and any relevant marketing-medical programs;

  • Providing medical and scientific inputs to Business Unit, Market Access, Clinical Research, Regulatory, and other departments as needed;

Responsibilities:

1. Brand and In-field Plans development and execution:

  • Provide inputs in the development of BP and IFTP for respective TA area in accordance with global guidance and country-specific business needs;

  • Identify relevant local evidence, clinical care, and educational gaps and provide proposals to close;

2. External Expert (EE) Engagement:

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Key National and Regional Medical Scientific Thought Leaders and key external customers;

  • Execution of EE engagement plans;

  • Scientific Communication and exchange (development printed materials, speaker training materials, symposia, advisory boards, etc);

  • Ensure EEs involved in developing clinical guidelines are aware of recent company Products data;

  • Medical content for Educational, Early Dx, and digital programs;

  • Develop and execute the publication plan;

  • Conduct Advisory Boards and Expert Meetings;

  • Manning medical booths at the congresses;

  • Handling medical information requests;

  • Insights collections.

3. Evidence generation:

  • Evaluate and discuss affiliate study concepts and proposals;

  • Clinical Research team alignment to ensure adequate enrollment into the company's studies;

4. Working relationships, internal support, and interaction:

  • Become the expert for specific TAs and products in order to support internal customers, capable to work in a synergistic way across functions;

  • Identify needs and provide training to commercial colleagues including updates for marketing people on the most important publications and their value for local operations;

  • Develop materials where it is relevant (scientific-based, not promotional);

  • Maintain timely approval of promotional materials in accordance with the timelines established by the local SOP;

  • Objection handling and competitor readiness;

  • Participate in Pharmacovigilance activities (PV);

  • Provide necessary support to Regulatory activities;

5. Medical compliance and governance.

Qualifications

  • 3 years+ experience in the Pharma/ Biotech industry as a Medical Advisor;

  • Previous experience in Rheumatology area as a plus;

  • Skills to analyze and interpret scientific information;

  • Knowledge of clinical development (clinical trials);

  • Knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations and related ethic behaviors;

  • Ability to work efficiently – both individually and as part of a team;

  • Computer skills;

  • Upper-intermediate English;

  • Agility.
